Adding Causes / Organisations to Virtue

From September 2023, stores have the ability to add their existing partners and request causes via Virtue. 

​

The Cause you add gets automatically created for your store to support. You can start supporting your added causes right way. 

​

Populating information about your cause

​

The information you add about your cause will be used on store-front customer facing Virtue assets. 

To edit information about your cause, create a new cause or email support@virtueimpact.com.

Fundraising compliance and permissions

​

When supporting the added Organisation from sales via Virtue, the store is responsible for gaining any required fundraising permissions and ensuring that fundraising is compliant with relevant fundraising regulations. 

​

We recommend gaining fundraising permission from the organisation via a written confirmation prior to going live and supporting from sales.

Going live with Virtue

​

When stores go live with Virtue, they are able to:

​

- Raise funds from product sales

- Enable shoppers to add a contribution to their cause

- Display store-front shopper facing messaging about their campaign and cause

- View campaign engagement analytics

- View a count of their upcoming and past donations, as well as orders these are attributed to

- Get prompts about upcoming donations 

- Receive donation confirmation receipts

- Track and share their impact/total raised for the cause

Paying donations

​

Initially the store will be setup to manually pay owing donations to their partner Organisations via their website or into their bank account, depending on the pre-established agreement. Virtue will provide a total donation count, prompts to settle owing payments and a donation confirmation receipt. 

To automate donations please email support@virtueimpact.com with details of your partner Organisation's contact. We will reach out to them about automating donations each month.
