If customer donations are enabled - you can donate to this cause. Otherwise, a store will donate a portion of your order with no extra change to you. Some can have both or either customer & store donations enabled.

FAQs
How is store giving calculated?
When the store you shopped with gives a %ge of sale, this %ge is calculated from the order/product after tax, shipping, discounts and payment transaction fees. For fixed giving amounts - that amount you see will go towards the cause.
How does the Cause / Charity receive the funds?

Majority of Causes/Charities on Virtue receive funds from our partner PayPal Giving Fund. This means that the donated funds are distributed to the Charities by PayPal Giving Fund, a registered public charity. PayPal Giving Fund receives the donations and then grants them to Charities, in accordance with its policies. See policies for PPGF UK and CA.
When the store is fundraising for a PayPal Giving Fund Charity, the store is officially fundraising for PayPal Giving Fund to benefit their chosen Charity/Charities. ​
Other Causes on Virtue receive funds directly or in another way. Get in touch with support@virtueimpact.com to find out how a Charity you see on a store receives donations.
Are there any fees associated with my donation?
There are a couple of fees associated with the donation that are important to know about.
Customer Donations are subject to standard product sale fees set by the eCommerce payment provider - this fee is deducted from the donation before it goes to Charity. It is typically 0-2.5%.

In addition:
Donations made to PayPal Giving Fund are subject to PayPal processing fees of 1.4% + 20p to UK accounts and 1.60% + $0.30 to Canadian accounts.
Causes receiving funds directly will have a 0-1.6% payment processing fee on donations.

Some stores may have a special agreement with the Charity where donations go to the Charity directly into their bank account -get in touch to find out if this is the case for the store that you are shopping with.
How do you work with PayPal Giving Fund?
We partner with PayPal Giving Fund (PPGF) to enable donations to support charities. PPGF is a charity that uses PayPal technology to help people support their favourite charities online. PPGF receives donations and makes grants to charities recommended by its donors, in accordance with its terms and policies. PayPal Giving Fund is registered as a Donor Advised Fund in the US, and as a charity in the other countries where it operates. When you support Causes and Charities on Virtue, the store is officially raising funds for PayPal Giving Fund, a registered public charity, to benefit their chosen Charity/Cause. This means that the donations are made to PayPal Giving Fund which then grants the donated funds to the Cause/Charity, in accordance with its policies. See policies for PPGF UK and CA.
Does Virtue charge the Cause / Charity?
No, we don't charge the Cause/Charity any fees. Virtue fee is completely separate from the donation and is covered by the stores.
